Contact Paper Collage

This activity provides some of the fun of stickers without the stickers stuck everywhere :)

Age:

15 months (definitely fun for older children as well)

Skills:

Fine Motor, Creativity

Materials:

  • Contact Paper
  • Painter's Tape
  • Scraps of paper cut into various shapes

How to:

Use the painter's tape to tape the contact paper onto a flat surface, sticky side out.  Then, I set out the bits of paper in a bowl and let him to town.

Verdict:

Fun! A lot of people use clear contact paper for this type of activity, but I only had white.  For me this activity is about process, and not product, so I wasn't worried about having a craft at the end, but if you want to save it, then clear contact paper is better so that you can fold it in half when you are done.  Ephraim had more fun sticking the paper on and then trying to take it back off anyways.
